The 4-star Hotel Fischerwirt Natur WaldSPA is located directly in front of the Hintersee lake in Faistenau, in the beautiful Salzkammergut near the city of Salzburg. You can reach us via the motorway, by train or by plane as follows:

Coming from Germany with Vignette
A8 direction Salzburg -> A1 Westautobahn direction Vienna -> Exit 274/Thalgau -> continue direction Hof bei Salzburg -> at the end of Hof turn right at the roundabout direction Faistenau Hintersee -> do not turn into the centre of Faistenau but continue to follow Hinterseestraße until you arrive directly at your holiday destination.

Toll-free journey
A8 direction Salzburg -> A1 Westautobahn to exit Salzburg Nord (new since January 2020) -> along the outskirts of the city -> direction St. Gilgen -> at the end of Hof turn right at the roundabout direction Faistenau Hintersee -> do not turn into the centre of Faistenau but follow Hinterseestraße until you arrive directly at your holiday destination.

Coming from Villach
A10 Tauernautobahn direction Salzburg -> A1 Westautobahn direction Wien -> Exit 274/Thalgau -> continue direction Hof bei Salzburg -> at the end of Hof turn right at the roundabout direction Faistenau Hintersee -> do not turn into the centre of Faistenau but follow Hinterseestraße until you arrive directly at your holiday destination.

Your arrival by train
The nearest train station is in Salzburg, only 30 minutes away from the Fischerwirt Faistenau - we will of course be happy to pick you up! For the transfer on arrival and departure we charge a one-time fee of Euro 80. Please let us know your arrival details in good time.

Travel by plane

Would you prefer to fly? We recommend Salzburg Airport as your destination. From there you only need 30 minutes to get to your holiday home. We will gladly take care of the transfer for you

The offices of the car rental companies are located on the ground floor of the multi-storey car park - opposite the airport terminal, where a short covered walkway leads. Our team at reception will also be happy to advise you.
