FAQ - Worth knowing

Surcharge for less than 3 nights: For a stay less than 3 nights, we charge an additional € 12,- per person and night.

We provide cosy bath robes & comfortable slippers for our big and little guests! If the size does not fit, please ask for another size at reception.

We guarantee check-in at 2pm. Should you arrive earlier and the room is ready, you will be of course welcome to access it.

If you arrive past 6 pm, we kindly ask you to notify us.

On the day of departure, please vacate the room by 11 am.

We do not offer e-bikes for hire in-house. You can rent them from close-by (500 m) and also bring them to the hotel to store during your stay.

We have several mountain bikes availabe for our guests, free of charge. Please also ask us for bicycle helmets.

As part of the Fischerwirt half-board we spoil you with an extensive gourmet breakfast buffet and sophisticated combinations of down-to-earth classics with international culinary delights in the evenings.

You are also welcome to take advantage of the all-day à la carte manu.

Perfect for any occasion – birthdays, (wedding) anniversaries or as a thank you for a loved one. Order via our voucher form.

To redeem a voucher, please hand it over to reception on arrival.

For the transfer on your arrival and departure from and to Salzburg airport or main station we charge a one-time fee of Euro 80,-. Please give us your arrival details in good time.

We are happy to welcome your four-legged darling in our house. Please bring your own dog blanket or basket. We provide you with information on popular walks. Please note that dogs are not allowed in the restaurant out of consideration for other guests. Your dog is welcome in the parlour, on the sun terrace, in the garden lounge, in the hotel garden and at the hotel bathing area (they surel enjoy a swim in the Hintersee).

Dog bags & waste bins are available. For your faithful companion on four paws we charge Euro 15,-/day (without food). We ask for your understanding that we reserve the right to charge for the final cleaning of your room if necessary.

Free of charge in the entire hotel area. If you feel the need for a little detox, you have the possibility to deactivate the wifi in your room. There is also an internet corner at your disposal at any time.

If children stay in a room with the parents...

• from 0 to 2 years = free stay & breakfast
• from 2 to 6 years = € 15,- per night including breakfast
• from 6 to 13 years = 60 % off the regular price including half-board
• from 13 to 16 years = 30 % off the regular price including half-board

Child beds available and provided with bed linen free of charge.

For your health and well-being, our entire hotel interior is smoke-free.  Smokers can meet on the sun terrace, in the garden lounge or any other outdoor areas including balconies.

During your stay, free outdoor parking is available in front of and across from our hotel.

We would like to point out that services included in packages but not consumed will not be refunded.

YOUR SAFETY IS IMPORTANT TO US

The Austrian federal government has announced the 2 G rule for the hotel & catering industry, effective from 8.11.2021.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

You will need a 2 G proof upon arrival.
2 G =  VACCINATED OR RECOVERED (up to a maximum of 6 months after the illness)

During the transitional period until approx. 08.12.2021, the 1st vaccination in combination with a PCR test also counts as 2 G.

For all guests who are vaccinated or RECOVERED and provide the appropriate proof,
there will be NO CHANGES!The proof MUST be presented at check-in.

At the moment we are unfortunately not allowed to accommodate guests without 2 G status.

No one can currently say for how long this will apply and we therefore ask
you to understand that at the moment we cannot make any further statements as to whether this will also affect a booking in January or February.

Beginning on Sunday, 14.11.2021, Germany has placed Austria on the high-risk area list.
This has no impact on VACCINATED & RECOVERED people. Meaning you do NOT HAVE TO BE IN QUARANTINE.

We can assure you that all our staff comply with the 2 G rule
and that the hygiene and security precautions in the hotel are monitored.

Cancellation policy COVID-19
So you can plan your holiday without worries, we give you free cancellations and changes of date until 7 days before your stay.
Thereafter general terms and conditions apply (see below).
This applies to all bookings until 30.04.2022. Paid deposits will be refunded to you in form of vouchers without expiry date or returned upon request.

General cancellation policy
cancellation - sounds upsetting, is upsetting. For everyone. It is unfortunate if your room stays empty although others would have liked to come. On the other hand, everyone has something coming up some time. We kindly ask you to let us know in good time.

General terms and conditions< (AGBH) 2006 apply.

In addition you can choose  travel insurance . This will avoid cancellation fees or fees in case of delayed arrival or early departure in case of sickness or other valid reasons  we highly recommend it.
Insurance also applies to Covid-19!

We ask for a deposit of Euro 100,- per room within 7 days after receiving your booking confirmation. This will ensure that you get your desired room. Deposits can be paid via bank transfer.

We are happy to provide you with free toboggans, snow shoes and poles in winter. You will find these in our ski room at any time.

Find local ski lifts, the Kesselmann and Oberwald lifts, as well as the cross-country ski pists in the immediate proximity. Daily free ski busses!

Winter holiday made easy. Find everything you need at the sports shop „Auer“ or directly at the lift station in Gaissau-Hintersee. Pick your gear and book your cross-country skiing or skiing lesson at the same time.

In our ski room with integrated boot dryer and ski rack, you will also find a waxing corner with waxing stand and waxing accessories (waxing iron, waxing blade, base brushes).

In autumn 2020, we opened our new WaldSPA. Unique. Just a few steps behind the main building, the new chalets adorn the forest. Finnish sauna, herbal organic softsauna, two relaxation chalets, chilled-out resting places and a natural kebony LODGE await under the majestic evergreen spruces, resin-free firs, popular beeches and light ash trees in the Fischerwirt mixed forest.
